Control & Instrumentation Engineer - Packaging Film Industry (3-5 yrs)

Control and Instrumentation Manager (Packaging Films)

- Maintenance of the facility's electrical components, monitoring and control systems including electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

- Design, install, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems in industrial settings

- Develop models and design components for automated systems

- Suggest modifications to enhance system performance

- Prepare written reports of activities such as installation, repairs, and inspects

- Monitoring devices that control processes within the facility, calibration and tuning either manually or automatic using instruments as necessary. Periodic maintenance and calibration to ensure the instrumentation remains in good working condition.

- Lead and conduct troubleshooting to repair the machines when issues arise.

- Replace defective and/or install new instrumentation and electrical systems.

- Preparing and agreeing project budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers.

- Undertaking relevant research.

- Producing and implementing designs.

- Creating test procedures.

- Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments.

- Writing reports and documentation.

- Analysing and interpreting data.

- Collaborating with a team of engineers.


- Providing technical support.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE with 3-5 years or more industrial experience with DCS- s, PLC- s, automation systems, etc preferably with Packaging Film Industry.

2. Ability to test, calibrate, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic devices and equipment.

3. Proficient at Single and Three Phase motors and motor control systems.

4. Ability to install and troubleshoot PLC's, AC and DC Drives. Modify existing ladder logic as required for troubleshooting or improvement activities.

5. Skilled in installing or replacing electrical switchgear, equipment, and devices.

6. Knowledge in terminating power, control, and instrumentation wire and cable.

7. Experienced with bending and installing rigid conduit.

8. Ability to set up and pull wire and cable.

9. Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to understand equipment and installation procedures.

10. Must be safety conscious.

11. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

12. Teamwork, collaboration and communication skills.

13. Complex data analysis and decision-making skills.

14. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

15. Sound written and oral communication skills.
