Description :

- Managing end to end logistics operations (i.e. execution, warehousing, route survey, transportation, shipping, imports & export) for projects under execution in India as well as abroad, which includes General Cargo & ODC's.

- Negotiations and finalizations of contract with warehousing companies, freight forwarders, shipping lines / carriers and transporters.

- Discussion with local transporter authorities to obtain necessary clearances for oversized cargo.

- Discussion and liaising with consultants and government authorities for Import - Export, GST, taxation & licenses.

- Packing as well as marking of all type of shipments to ensure damage proof transportation.

- Monitoring movement of goods to avoid demurrages / detentions.

- Monitoring goods receipts, storage, packing & dispatch of finished product.

- Handling goods rejection.

- Ensuring safe storage of goods in warehouse / store.

- Performing inventory audit for stock check, measuring & controlling inventory.

What Will Put You Ahead :

- Internal communication and coordination with

a. Projects team to :

- Prepare and implement project logistics plan.

- Handling transportation and dispatches from factory / vendor location to site.

- Prepare guidelines and procedures for site logistics personnel and material issue / reconciliation and scrap material.

- Site material storage

- Handling customer complaint related to transportation.

b. Procurement team to :

- Arrange vehicle placement at supplier end.

- Safe loading of goods.

- Preparation of e-way bills.

- Submit dispatch documents to buyers and in turn to Projects.

- Coordinate with buyer in case of any rejections.

c. EXIM to :

- Coordinate with CHA/Freight Forwarders on incoming and outward cargo

- Arrange back to town procedures, if required and arrangement of reverse logistics.

- Apply for concessional duty benefits (e.g. Advance License) for Import Shipments.

- Coordinate with banks for documentation.

- Support Projects team for close out & reconciliation of advance license and other duty saving schemes.

d. Finance to :

- Book and clear payments to transporters / carriers / CHA / Freight Forwarder.
