Debugging & Commissioning Engineer - PLC & Controls (2-6 yrs)
Job Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC and Control Debugging Engineer to join our dynamic team responsible for the Li-ion Battery Cell Module Pack Assembly Line project. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the automated assembly line, involving PLC programming, control system configuration, and effective debugging of complex automation processes. Responsibilities :
1. Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs to control the assembly line processes, including cell loading, scanning, laser welding, heat staking, and end-of-line testing.
2. Configure and optimize control systems, motion profiles, and communication protocols to ensure seamless integration of various equipment and components.
3. Conduct thorough debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues related to PLC programming, control systems, and automation processes.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, robotics specialists, and automation experts, to enhance system performance and reliability.
5. Participate in the commissioning and testing of the assembly line, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
6. Provide technical support during the entire project lifecycle, from initial design to final implementation and ongoing maintenance.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in automation technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements :
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechatronics, Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), or related field.
2. Proven experience of 2 to 6 years in PLC programming, control system design, and debugging in a manufacturing or automation environment.
3. Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and working knowledge of PLC software (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Omron, or similar).
4. Strong understanding of control systems, motion control, and communication protocols (e.g., Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP).
5. Hands-on experience with industrial automation components such as sensors, actuators, HMIs, and robotics.
6. Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
9. Familiarity with the Electric Vehicle (EV) industry or battery module assembly is a plus.
