Educational Qualifications - B. E in Mechanical

Relevant and total years of Experience: Minimum 18-20 years of work experience in a manufacturing set up with at least ~5 years of experience in managing engineering and maintenance function.

JOB PURPOSE:To manage and supervise Utility, Workshop, Engineering and Mechanical Maintenance of Plants within the Unit.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Plant Maintenance:

- Prepare Revenue Expenditure Budget and track on regular basis to Control the same.

- Prepare CAPEX and implement within specified time frame and within the sanctioned budget.

- Taking care Overall Maintenance of Plant.

- Initiates, implements, and manages the plant maintenance program based on best practices in the industry, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.

- Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems.

Utility Maintenance:

- Managing maintenance operations for reducing breakdown / downtime & enhancing operational effectiveness of Chilling Plant, Boiler, DG and Compressor and manpower planning of all utility and infrastructural facilities

- Implementing preventive, planned and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime of general utilities

- Responsible for operating the utilities, setting up and managing the PPM regime to support the whole operation, identify spares requirement, train operatives and support staff, maintain operational records and operational costs.

- Managing installation, commissioning, operation & maintenance of various equipments in reducing downtime and enhancing operational effectiveness of all equipments.

- Responsible for overall mechanical maintenance activities and repair of plant.

Workshop Maintenance:

- Managing workshop Maintenance & Engineering like CNC, Leath, Welding and Cutting Machine.

- Handling the complete maintenance entailing planning and scheduling, resource utilization and manpower management.

Health & Safety :

- Proactively provide feedback to management regarding hazards in the workplace and any other health, safety and security issues which may have impact on the service delivery of the contract and Company business.

- Responsible for Maintaining safety & statutory norms.

- Ensures compliance with safety measures by conducting safety inspections, informing employees about safety precautions, and evaluating Plant sites for compliance, developing and enforcing a safety program and maintaining contact with city and state health and environmental officials.

People Management:

- Ensures that maintenance team are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.

- Communicates regularly with all maintenance team, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.

Functional :

Knowledge on modern maintenance concepts like TPM Maintenance & Operations management with thorough knowledge on leading a team of technical staff towards achieving targeted production, planning, maintenance and engineering.

- Plant and Equipment Maintenance Supervisors should posses the ability to supervise skilled workers and wide experience in plant operations.

- Should have excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations, and ability to motivate maintenance personal under pressure.

- Should be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously, and should be able to generate ideas that can lead to reduction of cost and improvement of work processes.

- Ability to manage personnel and budgets & Good time management and planning skills.

- Knowledge of production machinery and techniques.

- Experience with repairs and maintenance of processing equipment.
