Deputy Manager - Imports Purchase - Auto (5-10 yrs)
Responsibilities:
Overall responsible for SCM of Imported items. Also will be responsible as second line for purchase deptt.
1.Responsible for Overall SCM of imported items.
2 To release the timely forecast/schedules, PO & ensure timely custom clearance. Demurrage & detention should be targeted as nil.
3. Develop statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.
4. Periodic capacity verification with suppliers.
5. Follow up with suppliers to maintain supply of material as per schedule & ensure no line stoppages.
6. Resourceful in global rate contracts & pricing negotiations.
7. Interact with quality deptt. related to any quality issue of material.
8. Negotiation & finalization with clearance agent, Logistic & forwarder etc.
9. Inventory Control of Imported items as per defined inventory levels.
10. Cost Saving budgeting & targeting.
11. Take actions to achieve cost saving as per target.
12 Timely bill submission & clearance of CHA, logistic agent, Forwarder etc.
13. Keep updated for global changes.
14 . Localisation of imports items.
15. Monthly MIS report preparation on CD, Inventory etc.
Qualification : B.E., with 5 years experience or D.M.E., with 8 years experience.
Experience : from automobile ancillaries companies.
Location : Chennai candidate willing to relocate to Bawal (Hindi speaking).
