Deputy Manager - Mold Development (13-15 yrs)
Deputy Manager - Mold Manufacturing Development Process
Minimum 13 to 15 Years Exp. In New product development in plastic company and experience in mold development & construction
Description :
- Work independently with Mold manufacturers, variety of departments & functions in order to successfully introduce new Injection Molds & Metal Tools into the manufacturing plant
- Also responsible for accomplishing the projects on time within the budgeted price, at the accepted quality associated with the Project program
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Conduct mold design & construction review meetings with Product Engineers, Mold designers and Mold makers
- Procure design of injection molds on time and within the budget estimate project cost
- Provide estimates on lead time, design hours, build-hours, debug hours & material requirement
- Lead team efforts with product engineers, process engineers to create mold design specifications for new molds
- Actively participate in product design review and Mold Process FMEA ensuring opportunities to improve the molding of the reviewed product
- Create & analyze engineering analysis tools such as FEA, Mold Flow analysis etc.,
- Accountable for qualification of the molds built & supplied - also responsible for debugging issues in new molds
- Optimization and Standardization of Mold making processes
- Extend support to resolve mold design, construction and processing issues
- Generate history book for each mold built
- Research on new plastic raw materials & other technologies related to injection molding
- Actively participate in investigation, development & qualification of new mold tooling design
- Compliance with IATF/ TS 16949 & ISO 9001, ISO 14001 systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Management
- Willing to travel as situation demands
- Utilize lessons learnt from past experiences.
- Internal tool costing
- Mould Launching with supplier with full data.
- Time plan tracking of the project
- Budget tracking of the moulds & Tools.
- Responsible successful mould commissioning at ARaymond.
- Supplier load monitoring & safeguard our business with respect to time line & quality.
- Day today review with the team member & update the documents.
- Daily MIS report to immediate reporting manager.
- Toolmaker Audit and upgrade the toolmaker in line with the interest of the company.
- Team Building.
SKILLS :
- Extensive knowledge on key mold manufacturing processes (EDM, CNC, etc.,)
- Good understanding of design and development of precision molded components
- Good understanding of engineering plastics
- Extensive knowledge on Mold construction
- Extensive knowledge on Injection molding machines & processes, rheology of plastic material, Mold and Process validation
- Effective interpersonal skills & communication skills at all levels of an organization
- Good decision making ability
- Computer literacy - MS Office, AutoCAD, Pro-E, Catia, CreO, 2D, 3D
- Project Management skills to set goals and means to achieve them
- Ability to read and analyze technical product & mold drawings
- Analytical ability to apply logical reasoning, test assumptions, observe results and initiate necessary actions
- Good decision making ability based on the situation
- Mathematical ability to perform calculation of volumes, shrink, draft, weight etc.,
- Negotiation skills
- Cost & Lead time Estimation, Budgeting etc.,

- GT & TC- DTDM
- NTTF - Tool maker with 15 years- experience
