Design & Development Engineer (Mechanical)
Company : A 35+ Year old and fastest growing manufacturer of quality & testing and calibration systems. Their product vertical has over 200+ models serving clients pan India and international.
Role : The Design Engineer is responsible for 3D modelling and drafting, with basic knowledge in machining process, technical calculation, selection on bearing, linear guide-ways, selection of gearbox and good at GD&T
- Must have relevant experience in Mechanical parts drafting with Machining process level drawing.
Key Responsibilities: :
1. Conceptualization and Design :
- Develop innovative mechanical designs based on project requirements and specifications. Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems. Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate design concepts and propose solutions.
2. Prototyping and Testing :
- Coordinate with the prototyping team to build and test physical prototypes of mechanical designs.
- Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Ensure prototypes meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
3. Collaboration :
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, industrial designers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components into the overall product.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall product design
4. Materials and Manufacturing Processes :
- Select appropriate materials for each design based on mechanical properties, cost considerations, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and ensure manufacturability of designed components.
