Experience: 5+ years post-qualification experience in Mechanical design for complex Projects.

Industry Preference: Heavy Industry / Automotive/ Product Manufacturing

Location : Hyderabad

We are looking for a Knowledgeable & experience person in the Mechanical design domain for understanding technical requirements in existing/ upcoming projects & to guide a team of mechanical design engineers in their design & engineering activities.

Key Accountabilities :

1. System Architecture Development & Requirement finalization. Responsible to finalize overall System Architecture & system requirements for various projects based on scope of work & customer requirement.

2. Mechanical Design & Engineering

- Design & Development of new products with key focus on QCD (Quality, Control & Delivery);

- Craft models and drawings of products using CAD Software (Inventor, CATIA, Solid works, AutoCAD etc.)

- Material Selection & standard bought out components- selection.

- Conduct elementary design calculations.

- Expertise in GD& T, Tolerance stack-ups.

- Creative design solutions to problems.

- Research new product ideas and methods.

- Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards

- Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, welding processes

- Knowledge of ISO 9001 And AS 9100 D Requirements

- Technical solution, Time & Cost estimation for new proposals.

- Performing failure mode effects & analysis

- Excellent oral and written communication

- Knowledge of FEA.

Team Management :

Mentoring of a team of young design engineers for design activities. Review & verification of drawings.

Design Documentation :

- Creation/review/approval of manufacturing drawings, parts & assembly Instructions etc.

- Use of Product lifecycle management software (Teamcenter, Enovia, PTC Windchill etc.)

Performance Measures:

- New product development

- Timely completion

- Smooth & reliable conduct of FAT's, SAT's etc.

- Ability to resolve run time issues in complex systems

Working Relationship: Internal (Within the Organization) :

Operation Team (Engineering Team, Production, Quality, Marketing, PMO, SCM)- for smooth functioning of operations

External (Outside the Organization): 1. Customer 2. OEMs, foreign partners, etc.
