Design Engineer - Bridges (4-12 yrs)
Performing Analysis & Design Calculations
As a Specialist in bridges you :
Lead design teams :
- Liaise with engineers across the Globe.
- Play an active role in the Bridge Technical Networks to enhance Technical Excellence and best practice .
- Complete assigned tasks on agreed quality, time and budget.
- Perform analysis and design calculations adhering to codes and standards, prepare design reports as per project requirements in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of work activities executed.
- Are held responsible for checking project work and ensuring compliance with standards set in the project and adhere to COWI quality procedures.
- Mentor and support the development of graduates and technicians.
Experience Of Designing Concrete Bridges : You have done Bachelors in Civil Engineering and preferably Masters in Structural Engineering and have more than 8 years of experience in concrete bridge design.
Additionally, you can say yes to the following :
- You have profound experience of working on detailed design projects designing concrete bridges such as highway bridges, marine bridges, interchanges, ROB's, rail and metro bridges.
- You have 8+ years of experience in RCC and PSC bridge design.
- You are well-founded in the Finite Element Method (FEM) and the use of commercial FEM-software.
- You have experience with text-based programming.
- You have a proven track record of working with international codes such as the Eurocode.
- You confidently lead teams and manage projects in an international setting.
- You are proficient in all Microsoft Office software, particularly MS Excel and Word.
- You have basic knowledge of Bentley MicroStation, AutoCad and/or Tekla.
