We have immediate job opening for MAAG Gear Design Engineer for Gurgaon location.

Job Description :

Experience : 7+ Years

Job Responsibility : 

- Engineer should be capable to work in mechanical design of gearboxes used in a raw, coal and cement grinding mills in cement plant, including calculations and documentation. 

- He should be a good team player. Willing and readiness to take challenging jobs.

- Support to proposal department, sales department and Project Management.

- Release of deliverable meeting the defined quality norms while ensuring adherence to contractual / project specific requirements within the defined time frames.

- Design and make necessary strength calculations on equipment as well as on machinery parts.

- Prepare/Update design manuals to be used for standard order handling.

- Make technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks.

- Apply design judgements using the knowledge of Fits, Tolerances, Finish, Manufacturing methods and work shop practices.

- Prepare end user documentation which meets the quality standards of today and end user requirement.

- Assist documenting machinery within our product database.

- Deliver the best possible quality - also when deadlines turn tough and it takes serious persistence to get to the goal.

- Ensure project tracking in all stages with accurate data and documentation for future retrieval.

- Support to CSD for spare parts sales.

- Timely communication to all stakeholders.

- Ability to make detail drawings, assembly drawings, design layouts on his own to meet the time frames. Do not depend on designer always.

- Create specifications for vendors related to equipment and reviewing the vendor offers including calculations and documentation.

- Check drawings, documentations to ensure error free to customer and FLS internals.

- Handling the contract/projects individually which means taking ownership from drawings to documentations. Meet the engineering deliverables to the agreed time frame.

- Addressing queries related to proposal, sales, projects, procurements and CSD.

- Prepare necessary documentation covering everything from risk assessments, drawings, specifications, erection & manufacturing instructions and design manuals.

- Work in close collaboration with the product specialist in defining the requirements for new design, projects, proposals.

- Apply design judgements using the knowledge of Fits, Tolerances, Finish, Manufacturing methods and work shop practices.

- Provide technical assistance to colleagues globally, suppliers and plant sites related to equipment queries.

- Visit manufacturing workshops during manufacturing and handle discrepancies with suitable solutions which should not impact any operational and design of the equipment.

- Support in quick responses and solutions to erections & commissioning teams on site issues from office immediately.

- Must to travel to plant site and workshop for global, domestic, CSD projects whenever needed without any hesitation.

- Maintain documents properly for the ISO audits. Well versed with FLS Quality manuals and procedures.

Required Skill set :

Qualification : BE Mechanical

1. Expert in preparing technical drawings using 3D design using SolidWorks.

2. Able to handle information through Product Data Management, Team center & ERP systems.

3. Error free documentation, which meets the quality standards.

4. Proficient to work in Microsoft Office Tools.

5. Proficient to work in teams as well as independently.

6. Good in English at 'negotiation level' both written and orally.

7. Exposure to trouble shooting on site with a hands-on approach.

8. Expert in closed gears terminology and AGMA standards.

9. Good in Bearings, Lubricants, Couplings & Instruments.

10. Adaptable to move over in supporting the teams to work within group during resource crunch in all aspects like drawings, contract handling and design details.
