Design Engineer - Mechanical (5-7 yrs)
Roles & responsibilities :
1. Machine Design :
- Designing special purpose machines and automation for assembly & inspection
- Designing aluminium extruded cells
- Design of robotic cells - SCARA and 6 axes articulated arm
- Concept design for automations
- Release manufacturing drawings
2. Collaboration :
- Collaborate with Sales team support in providing quotations
- Provide support to purchase team and vendors in manufacturing and drawing clarifications
- Obtaining GAD approval from clients.
Expected competencies :
Software :
- Machine design, proficient with solidworks, Auto Cad, Ansys
Concepts :
- Proficient with aluminium extrusion design, structure design, Sheet metal
- Know how of design to manufacture concepts
- Proficient on machine design concept
- Knowledge on GD&T and its usage.
- Design release process
Manufacturing :
- Manufacturing process knowledge - machining, fabrication, finishing operations, welding etc
- Knowledge on machining jig fixture working principle
Preferred competencies :
- Knowledge on robotic cell design or usage of articulated arm robots
- Design of 3 axes pick and place systems
Qualification & experience :
- BBE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 1-3 years experience with a background of manufacturing or design.
- Diploma in Mechanical with 5 years design experience
- Experience in manufacturing industry or supporting manufacturing
- Worked in machine building/ Tool design/ fixture industry
