Design Engineer - Mechanical (7-15 yrs)
Job Profile :
P band - Sr. Designer
KRA:-
1. Design & development of components for refrigerators
2. Preparation of prototypes and testing
3. Maintenance of all design documents for future reference
4. Support Business initiatives
5. Interaction with cross-functional teams for specific issues
Job Description:-
1. Understand needs, component design considering manufacturability and cost as per the guidelines provided by the Design Team Leader
2. Preparation of sketches, liaison with prototype shop, fabrication as per design, testing in laboratories and preparation of reports
3. Follow laid down systems for documentations
4. Interact with NPD, MFG and QE for project specific issues
5. Interact with external testing houses viz., ERTL, UL, Intertek
6. Active participation in activities viz., ISO and Product Supply
7. Preparation of Bill of material, cost estimates & related activities
Requisite Qualification :
- Essential Degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
- Preferred Knowledge of Plastic material & tooling
Requisite Experience :
- Essential 10 years relevant experience with working knowledge of CAD software.
Preferred :
- Experience in R&D of products, white goods or equivalent
- Knowledge of QFD, HOQ.
