Design Engineer - Professional/Consumer Lighting (6-18 yrs)
Job Description :
We are hiring for Design Engineer - Professional/Consumer Lighting
Please find below Job role and Responsibility :
1) Knowledge on LED Product design for professional indoor commercial lighting applications
2) Knowledge of various manufacturing processes like pressure die casting/stamping/forging/injection moulding/extrusion/fabrication
3) Knowledge on various machining process like grinding/burnishing/lathe/milling/drilling/tapping Knowledge on aesthetics /form/factor and surface finishes
4) Knowledge of various finishing processes like painting/powder coating/anodising/plating/laser printing
5) Knowledge of various raw materials like aluminium alloys for die casting/extrusion/al and steel sheet metals - properties -applications -selection-standards and test methods and specs
6) Knowledge of various plastic raw materials like PP/Pc/ABS/Nylon and other engg plastics /diffusers - properties -applications -standards -selection and test methods and specs
7) Knowledge on various accessories like gaskets/glass/wires/connectors/cable glands/hardware etc - makes/properties/selection/standards
8) Knolwdege on die casting/injection moulding /press /extrusion tool design principles/materials/sources/development knowledge
9) Knowledge on strength of materials and plastic materials -properties and applications
10) Knowledge on packaging materials and packaging design
Experience :
1) 8-9 years of experience in Consumer Durable /Lighting industry with at least 3 years in LED Lighting Industry of repute
2) Experience of working in design department on product design in Indoor Commercial LED Lighting in industry of repute
3) Experience of having worked on product design - 4-5 products in LED commercial Lighting products, Experience of having worked with Architects and consultants on Projects in IT/ITeS / Large commerical office spaces, Experience of having worked on quick Product customisation for consultants requirements
4) Experience of having worked on 4-5 cost reduction /value engineering initiatives
5) Experience of having led /driven new product and cost reduction initiatives
6) Good network of Indian/global component sources / EMS suppliers /contract manufacturers
7) Exposure to Global and China component sources
8) Experience of having solved any major customer complaints and site visits
9) Experience of improvement done on any product features/process
