Design Engineer - Structural (3-8 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Designing components with a human-centric design approach.
- Selecting right materials with respect to feasibility, cost, strength and other aspect for design.
- Work with sheet metal, angles, channels, composite materials, plastics and other new materials to come up with optimized designs.
- Designing product and its components while taking care of serviceability and assembly.
- Assist transition of a design from concept to production.
- Closely working with vendors and service providers to understand limitations and adapt designs accordingly.
- Simulate (bending, shear, wind load etc.) components with the help of a simulation tool to come up with robust designs in timely fashion.
Eligibility:
- Strong working knowledge of a 3D design tool, preferably Creo.
- Working knowledge of structure simulations, FEA analyses.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or allied fields.
Preferred Candidate:
Experience of 3+ years in a development environment
Has experience working with designs that are currently working on the field in their physical form.
