Design Engineer - Unigraphics - New Product Development (1-3 yrs)
Position: Design Engineer - Unigraphics-New Product Development (NPD)
Qualification: BE (Mechanical Engineering) / EEE / ECE / ME (Mechanical / CAD)
No.of Positions : 1
Post Graduation Preferred / Optional
Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience
Software Exposure: Unigraphics / UG/UGNX with 3D modelling skills
Skill set:
- Responsible for Designing and developing products as per customer Requirement Design as per customer requirement, Internal tooling Requirements.
- Drive new product development according to NPD process.
- Evaluating the customer drawings and the designs of an assembly.
- Responsible for Design change
- Coordinating with the team and delivering the requirements of the customer.
- Plastics Insight for the automotive components.
- Knowledge on Injection molding (Metal, Ceramic, Plastic) material properties.electronic inter connectors
- Manufacturing Feasibility skills.
- Manufacturing Process Development (Molding, Debinding, Sintering, Machining, Plating, Finishing operation)
Core Competencies:
- Injection molding (Metal, Ceramic, Plastic)
- Design as per customer requirement, Internal tooling Requirements.
- Manufacturing Process Development (Molding, Debinding, Sintering, Machining, Plating, Finishing operation)
- Cable Harness, Over molding, Product Costing (Raw material + Process+ tooling cost).
- PFMEA, PPAP & APQP
- SPC,MSA, 8D, 7QC tools
- GD&T and Engineering Drawings
- Work with supplier for Gauges, fixtures, Tool Development and outsourced manufacturing process.
- Participating Supplier Quality audits and Run @ Rate Audit along with Quality team to qualify
The supplier and ensure Smooth production run.
- Inspection Methods
- Gauges, Jigs & Fixtures concepts
- Problem solving & decision making skills
- Knowledge on Rhos, REACH and ELV Compliance
