Job Title : Fabrication Design Head (Reporting to CEO)

Location : Chennai

Position Overview :

- The Fabrication Design Head, reporting directly to the CEO, will have overall responsibility for leading the fabrication design department and driving the development of cutting-edge design solutions for our heavy fabrication projects. This role demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of heavy fabrication processes, a track record of innovation, and the ability to lead a team to meet and exceed industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with the Stakeholders to shape the company's fabrication design strategy, aligning it with the company's objectives and ensuring its successful execution.

- Oversee and manage the fabrication design department, ensuring the creation of innovative, efficient, and high-quality design solutions for heavy fabrication projects.

- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the design team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Utilize your extensive knowledge of heavy fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards to drive excellence in design practices.

- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements, incorporating innovative design tools and methodologies into the fabrication process.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety.

- Ensure that all designs meet or exceed industry standards and comply with safety and quality regulations.

- Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to source materials and components that align with design requirements.

- Maintain accurate records of design specifications, changes, and approvals. Manage the design department's budget, including resource allocation and cost control.

Qualifications : 

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering) preferred.

- 10+ years of progressive experience in heavy fabrication industries, with a strong background in fabrication design.

- Deep knowledge of heavy fabrication processes, materials, industry standards, and design software.

- Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.

- Demonstrated innovation and continuous improvement in design practices.
