Diebold Nixdorf - Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Procurement (7-11 yrs)

SCOPE of ROLE:
1. Understand and validate the purchase requisitions (PR) from User Departments
2. Prepare RFP/RFQ and invite quotes from vendors.
3. Prepare comparative statements of the quotations received from vendors to select best source of supply
4. Track and monitor savings generated through vendor development, negotiations, part development/product substitution or any other such initiative
5. Ensure conversion of PR to PO (Purchase Order) with minimum turnaround time
6. Develop local and foreign vendors for critical products
7. Track and manage Import shipments in coordination with Vendors, Freight forwarders and C&F agents
8. Follow up with vendors to ensure on time material/service delivery
9. Ensure vendor payments on time in coordination with accounts and finance teams
10. Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions with suppliers.
11. Builds strong relationships with suppler/partners, fostering collaboration and teamwork
12. Delivers on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives
13. Develops and implements efficiency, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP and decision making and evaluation time
14. Leads development and execution of a performance driven supplier management process resulting in structured feedback.
15. Develops metrics & tracking system for major cost drivers
16. Develops, implements and maintains procurement policies and review on a regular basis to ensure relevance and conformance with best practices and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory policies
