Director - Supply Chain - Manufacturing (12-18 yrs)
1. This position is directly responsible for strategic planning and execution of all manufacturing including - Own Manufacturing, Contract Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service in a Cluster.
2. This position is the sole point of contact for the business in the Cluster for all SC matters.
3. Accountable for the entire SC financial P&L in the cluster, ensures supply, support business development, ensures alignment with both Business in the Cluster/Region and Regional/Global SC strategy.
4. Manufacturing, Demand planning, Planning & Distribution, Quality and CS report directly to the position.
5. Develop and implement integrated manufacturing, logistics and planning solution encompassing manufacturing/distribution network design, S&OP implementation, import/export operations, effective organization capabilities.
6. Operational management of warehouse and transportation, supply planning and strategic inventory planning for finished goods, raw material, packing material and implementation of Global strategy for all business needs.
7. Responsible for driving optimization of total SC cost, inventory and customer service level performance through integrated supply chain activities, and 3rd party distribution alliances.
Essential Functions
Align with the global/region vision and business process strategy for the overall VC.
Be the business contact point of VC and ensure the overall SC performance meet the business needs.
Management of all SC functional areas: Planning, Logistics, CS, Manufacturing, Material Sourcing (coordination with GSSI) and Contract Manufacturing.
The position is accountable for the entire SC cost in the cluster, ensure the supply on time and in full, support business development, ensure alignment with both Businesses in the Cluster/Region and Regional/Global SC strategy.
Actively participate in development of Regional strategy in Make, Plan, Deliver and assure effective implementation of resulting action plans across all functional areas: Planning, Logistics, CS, Manufacturing, Material Sourcing and Contract Manufacturing.
Prepare Make and Plan/Deliver annual budget with the OpCos and factories and monitor expenses including capex and inventory budgets, reconciling variances and developing and implementing cost improvement programs. Manages continuous improvement of total SC cost (including materials).
Education :
- Bachelor Degree in engineering preferred (analytical skill sets)
- Specialization in Supply chain operations
- Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred.
Experience :
- Have an overall 15 years of operational/ managerial experience in manufacturing, logistics and operations planning
- 3 years of experience in financial analysis for major projects in manufacturing, planning, logistics areas
- Good understanding of the overall SC operation included manufacturing, sourcing, 3P management.
- Result driven tracking record.
- Multinational work experience with high complexity business environment.
- Working in Matrix structure
Skills/Knowledge/Certification :
- Taking initiatives, strong leadership and strategic capability.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly obtain the necessary credibility with the RLT and teams in the regional.
- Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple projects.
