Job Description: Assistant Manager - Production Planning and Control (2-Wheeler Refurbishment Center) -
Location : Hosur (Frequent travel to Coimbatore)
Position Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our 2-wheeler refurbishment center as a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager in Production Planning and Control. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating production activities, ensuring smooth operations across departments, and driving efficiency in the refurbishment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Coordination- : Collaborate with production, quality, logistics, and sales teams to ensure optimal planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities.
- Monitor Performance- : Track and analyze production metrics to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Inventory Management- : Work with logistics teams to monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring the timely availability of required materials.
- ERP Management- : Utilize ERP systems to plan, track, and report production data, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Communication & Reporting- : Prepare and present reports on production performance, quality metrics, and other operational data using MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
- Travel & Coordination- : Frequently travel between Hosur and Coimbatore locations to oversee production processes and ensure smooth operations across facilities.
- Cross-Department Coordination- : Act as a liaison between departments to resolve issues and ensure alignment of goals across production, sales, quality, and logistics.
- Planning & Analysis: Excellent utilization of statistical tools and find the gaps in productivity. Root cause analysis for failure. Core data management and workflow observation. Identify bottlenecks through productivity SOP.
- Daily Work Management: Stakeholder communication related to plans and escalation matrix and project handling.
Qualifications :
- Diploma or BE in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry (2-wheeler experience preferred).
- Basic technical knowledge of 2-wheeler operations is essential.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Strong communication, coordination, and mail-writing skills.
- Fluent in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
- Willingness to relocate to Hosur.
Preferred : Experience in 2-wheeler refurbishment or related automotive sectors.
