Job Description :

1. Identify the category strategy and a rolling program of areas to be addressed within the procurement category

2. Establish and lead cross functional teams to manage the development and implementation of the procurement category strategy and agree the strategy with the Head of BOM and Non BOM category and internal customer departments

3. Deliver the procurement category strategy including sourcing activities which generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets through insight and analysis of category and sub categories areas

4. Work on initiatives such as; analysis of procurement spend and supply base to establish suppliers per procurement category and sub categories. Perform analysis of supply markets to identify potential suppliers and market trends. Identify internal and external cost drivers in the categories

5. Develop saving opportunities and benchmarking of industry standards and practices to identify quick win opportunities

6. Identify opportunities for Alternate Source Development by identify potential list of suppliers, pre assessment of potential vendor, issue of drawings and process parameters with detailed specifications and getting the samples approved by Quality

7. Work closely with identified supplier and BU Materials for PPAP Audit and closure of Non Conformances before awarding regular business to alternate supplier

8. Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure that service, quality, added value, total cost, security of supply and the deployment of the suppliers capabilities in innovation are secured

9. Manage and develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations, for the procurement category and sub categories, using leading procurement methods (such as clean sheet costing, cost trend analysis, price change analysis and supplier performance reviews) to deliver breakthrough performance in cost, service and quality

10. Carry out commercial settlement in terms of standard costing for built to print parts, Raw Materials and proprietary category
