E & E Architecture Role - Body & Comfort (8-30 yrs)
Body and comfort
- Drive the design and development of window system, heating system and camera modules among others which aid in body & comfort
- Define specifications and take ownership for connectors, belts,mirrors and adjustment modules
- Ensure the required device driver,UI and interfacing modules are developed for body and comfort system by respective teams
- Drive the design and development of HVAC components and define system level requirements for best
in-class customer experience
- Oversee the E&E design, layout, and integration of sensors, motors, buttons, etc., for window and seat
adjustment, HVAC placement, and other human interfaces
Body and Comfort E&E Director
Oversee the climate control modules like windshield-wiping and defrost, adaptive heating, etc., and optimize the in-vehicle comfort with minimal energy consumption
- Oversee and contribute to the development of the software controlling the in-cabin thermal profiles by collaborating with the firmware and integration engineers
- Lead the design, development, and selection of the components for the motors, actuators, and sensors to be used to read and ensure user comfort
- Drive the telemetry and acquisition definitions for the user data and gather insights on user comfort leverage this for updates and model refreshes
Experience of working with hardware for seat adjustment, windshield wipers, automated window controls,
HVAC, etc. for in-vehicle comfort
- Experience with automotive component design for HVAC and thermal management
- Proven record of innovating solutions to solve customer problems
- Keen understanding of vehicular electrical layout
- Experience with designing subsystems and modules with resource constraints
- Understanding of data acquisition and insight generation methods from sensor data on the thermal comfort of the occupant electronics engineering or equivalent
- Master's degree is plus but not required
- 12+ years experience in a relevant senior engineering position
