EHS Advisor (8-12 yrs)
- We are seeking an experienced EHS candidate will be responsible for leading an EHS function for the assigned project and ensuring the organization's commitment to a safe and healthy work environment.
- The HSE advisor will play a crucial role in Implementing EHS management system, safety initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Educational Requirements and Work Experience :
- Minimum Education Requirements: BSC, Diploma in engineering or graduation in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, electrical). Post-graduation in EHS from reputed institute or NICMAR, Advance diploma in industrial safety (State board of technical education)
Years of experience: 6 - 10 years (Warehouse construction experience is mandatory) and Building construction experience would be added advantage.
Essential Accountabilities
Key responsibilities Description
- Implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local & state rules and regulations as they apply to the organization's operations;
- Maintain SMS in compliance with State and Organizational requirements;
- Measuring Performance Set SMART goal and strive to achieve in effective manner ;
- Assist in the achievement of meeting company goals and initiatives, profitability, and productivity requirements;
- Enforcement of Policies Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and rules;
- Ensure Management of Change for all changes in the organization
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment:
- Ensure that all hazardous activities are analyzed and required preventive measures are implemented;
- Perform safety surveys and inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective and preventative measures, and follow up on task completion.
Equipment's Safety
- Ensure timely Safety equipment inspection whether internally or by contractors
- Continuous Improvement: Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks raise safety awareness and improve safe work practices;
- Develop and recommend improvements to all Quality Management systems;
Competency Development : Ensure workforce competencies are maintained relevant to their duties and roles in contingency management;
- Develop, implement and maintain employee training programs as indicated by regulatory guidelines, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment;
- Communication Manage communication strategies;
- Identify efficient required information sharing channels and implement same.
- Zero communication gap at project and up to reporting managers level.
- Stakeholders management Provide effective EHS inductions to visitors and employee
- Conduct and lead safety meetings with stakeholders
- Guide and lead the contractors project team for effective EHS implementation
Conduct periodic EHS audits
- Reporting's Ensures the effective and timely reporting's of all EHS communications
Key Knowledge Areas
- In-depth knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations applicable to the construction industry.
- In depth knowledge of ISO 45001: 2018
- Knowledge about high rise building construction activities, hazards and controls.
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with ISO 45001:2018
- Good communication skill and soft skills
- Developing and testing emergency response plans specific to construction sites.
- Coordinating with local emergency services and first responders.
- Conducting drills to ensure the readiness of the emergency response team
- Reviewing and approving safety measures for construction equipment and machinery
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations related to construction activities.
- Expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining a Safety Management System.
- Familiarity with SMS software and tools.

- Number of Policy Violations
- Effectiveness of Management of Change Process % Tracks the frequency of violations related to company policies, procedures, and rules

- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment %Measures the extent to which hazardous activities are analyzed within the organization
