Opportunity in EHS Lead for Biosimilars R&D and Manufacturing
Designation : Sr. Manager/Manager
Qualification: Msc/B.Tech/M.Tech in Environmental Science and Industrial Safety
Experience: 12 +years
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Environmental, Health, and Safety program as per global standards in Biologics.
- Ability and proven Experience to comprehend assess and create remediation efforts in handling physical containment practices and biosafety level requirements as per EU and US Requirements. To liaison with external agencies and local regulatory bodies in handling of bio treated waste.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing EHS strategies, industrial hygiene, safety and chemical regulatory requirements, training on general safety, injury reductions, biohazard regulatory requirement and emissions/waste/water management, including all applicable permitting and reporting requirements.
- Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site management to ensure compliance with global and company requirements.
- Evaluate facility EHS conditions, assess risks and develop appropriate corrective-action plans to address deficiencies in comparison to regulations, industry standards and company policy.
- Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and programs.
- Develop Key Safety Performance indicators and communicate results to Management.
- Prepare, update and provide training for Safety and regulatory compliance.
- Manage reporting requirements for waste management.
- Prepare environmental summaries, training reports, regulatory summaries, filings and reporting requirements.
- Regularly perform safety walk-throughs to proactively identify and correct potential safety issues.
- Proactively engage the plant safety committee to conduct departmental safety walk-throughs in their area.
- Manage the site contractor safety program.
- Ensure that contractors provide a project specific written safety program.
- Plan, develop, and manage site procedures for adhering to local, state, and global EHS regulations.
- Review the site EHS procedures and recommend modifications if appropriate.
- Conduct job hazard analysis and/or exposure assessments to identify occupational health hazards, including but not limited to hazardous chemicals and physical agents.
- Manage EHS audits by outside regulatory agencies.
- Receives, reviews, and processes all MSDSs (Material Safety Data Sheets) and maintains GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals)
