EHS Manager (8-10 yrs)
Job Description :
We Sarthee Consultancy have an urgent requirement for our leading Agrochemical Industry for EHS Manager
Qualification:BE(Any specialization)+Industrial Safety course
Experience:8-10 years
Job Responsibilities:
1 .Safety Policy :
a) To monitor implementation of the safety Policy of the Company and submit periodic reports to the Management with suggestions for corrective measures.
b) To submit monthly reports on Safety & Environment to the Management.
2. Safety Audit and Risk Assessment :
a) To arrange for Safety Audit and Risk Assessment of the plant internally as well as through outside approved agency.
b) To Plan and carry out modifications and changes and augment safety provisions to reduce hazards.
c) To prepare On-site and Off-site Emergency Plans on the basis of the Risk Assessment reports and get them approved by the authorities.
d) To plan and conduct mock drills periodically.
e) To carry out inspections as per checklist daily.
3. Safety Requirements:
a) To ensure compliance with recommendations of statutory authorities such as Factory Inspector, Control Board, Explosives Department, Environmental Safety Committee, Chemical and Medical Inspectors of Factories, etc.
b)To furnish the required information and details and submit compliance reports to the authorities.
c)To ensure compliance with all statutory rules and regulations
d)To submit periodic Safety Reports and accident reports, if any, to the government.
e)To maintain proper liaison with various government and municipal departments connected with Safety.
f)To arrange for periodic medical examination of all employees for their general health with special attention to occupational diseases.
4.Pollution Control :
a)To arrange to obtain/renew consent orders from Pollution Control Board.
b)To monitor the work-environment departmentally as well as through approved external agencies and submit periodic reports to the Pollution Control Board.
c)To take appropriate remedial measures to minimize pollution.
d)To submit yearly Environmental Audit report in January and yearly Environmental Statement in September to GPCB.
e)To send yearly water-cess Returns in June and arrange for the payment of its bills.
5Training :
a)To prepare and up-date Safety Manual incorporating Safety Data Sheets and Safety Rules, Regulations and Procedures.
b)To arrange for training of employees in Safety and First Aid.
6 Accident Prevention:
a)To ensure implementation of recommendations of the Safety Committee and Inspection Squads and take steps to remove all unsafe conditions.
b)To ensure strict implementation of all Safety Rules, Regulations and Procedures and eliminate all unsafe practices.
c)To ensure proper use of personal protective appliances, maintain them properly and procure them as required.
d) To ensure efficient functioning of all safety devices and augment them as required.
e)To incorporate adequate safety provisions in the plant and equipment design in case of modifications, additions, etc.
f) To investigate all accidents thoroughly and suggest remedial measures to prevent their recurrence.
7 Promotion of Safety :
a)To propagate safety through posters/sign boards, literature, lectures/seminars, films, exhibitions, etc. and thereby create safety consciousness.
b)To organize Safety Competitions and celebration of Safety Day Safety Week.
c)To apply for Safety Awards for good Safety performance/record.
Salary:INR 8,00,000 - 12,00,000 P.A.
