JD for Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

General Description:

Reporting to the EICA Lead, the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer is expected to support the engineering team in designing and drafting instrumentation documents related to project requirements.

The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned to the employee from time to time as necessitated by business demands.

Responsibilities:

- Study & review tender documents, contract requirements & technical correspondence submitted in the proposal stage

- Should have Good Knowledge in the Sizing/selection of cables, VFDs, Motor, transformers,Rectifiers, Local control stations, lighting system, Junction Box, Gland, Tray, etc. as per project requirements

- Should be able to select MOVs, solenoid valves, Pneumatic ON/OFF and control valves, etc. as per process requirement.

- Should be able to develop Engineering deliverables such as a Single Line Diagram, Electrical Load List, Cable sizing calculation, Power cable schedule, Cable tray schedule, energy balance, and energy consumption calculation, Lighting Calculation, Earthing Calculation, Lightning calculation,Power /Heat dissipation calculation, UPS power sizing calculation, bus bar calculation, etc.

- Should be able to prepare the instrument-related documents such as Instrument Index, instrument datasheet, IO List, Termination Diagram, cable block diagram, Cause & Effect Matrix,

JB schedule Etc.

- Excellent knowledge to design and review panel drawings such as Motor control center, Power control center, Starter Panel, Relay control panel, PLC panel, and RIO panel.

- Should be able to generate/develop E&I-related drawings but not limited to electrical equipment markup in Plant layout, Control room layout, Cable tray Layout, Earthing Layout, Lightning Layout, skid/ interconnection cable tray, junction box drawing, etc. in 2D /3D in Auto CAD.

- Coordination with the Engineering team for the electrical equipment installation drawings/Methods of a statement and O&M document preparation.

- Preparation of BOM for E&I materials, BOM for cables, and other Electrical bulk materials.

- Floating RFQ for field equipment such as Motors, Motorized valves, Heaters, Cables, MCC & control panels, instruments, analyzers, etc. to vendor and finalize the selection of field Equipment/bulk materials by coordinating with vendors and procurement

- Prepares QA/QC documents, and FAT procedures related to Panels, Motors, and reviews the supplier E&I Q/C documents.

- Provides technical drawing or document support to the sales and proposal team during various stages in bidding.

- Performs 3D modeling for electrical works such as lighting fixtures, receptacles, panel boards, and other electrical equipment using 3D modeling software will be a big plus

Skills:

- Microsoft Office (Advanced), AutoCAD-2D, and 3D Advanced skills and Certification

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task. Good team working skills

- Ability to develop, read and interpret engineering specifications and engineering drawings

- Responsiveness & sense of urgency. Able to work under pressure & maintain deadlines

Languages:

- Fluent written and spoken English

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/E&I/E&C equivalent. Diploma with BE big plus

- 8 years or more in Water, Wastewater & industrial effluent treatment plant, or process engineering field with the same role position

Travel:

- Limited Travel to site if required. The position is mainly working from a home-based role.
