Embedded FUSA Engineer/Functional Safety - Automotive Domain (3-6 yrs)
Job Title : Functional Safety (FUSA) Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Define and Engineer Product Component Safety Requirements: Work on defining safety requirements for product components and ensure they are engineered to meet these requirements.
- Collaborate with System Suppliers: Work closely with system suppliers to fulfill functional safety requirements.
- Conduct System and Vehicle Tests: Perform tests to validate the functional safety of systems and vehicles.
- Review Product Component Safety Architecture & Design: Participate in the review of safety architecture and design of product components.
- Define Fail-Safe Mechanisms: Develop fail-safe mechanisms to ensure system safety.
- Vehicle/HiL Integration Tests: Conduct integration tests for functional safety validation.
- Manage Functional Safety Processes: Oversee the application of functional safety processes and support the development of artifacts required for safety audits.
- Create Safety Analysis: Work on safety analysis activities such as FMEAs, FMEDAs, and FTAs.
- Collaborate with Multiple Suppliers: Work with suppliers to complete DIAs, safety plans, and support the development of functional and technical safety concepts.
- Support Teams: Assist hardware and software teams in completing ISO26262 work products.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in the automotive domain.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., ISO26262), automotive system engineering, and software development.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications in functional safety (e.g., ISO26262 Automotive Functional Safety Professional).
- Tools: Familiarity with tools like DOORS, Vector CAN tools, and diagnostic protocols (e.g., UDS, KWP).
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
