Embedded Hardware Design Engineer - Microcontroller/Microprocessor (9-11 yrs)

Summary :
- Looking for an experienced Embedded hardware design engineer with focus on microprocessor/microcontroller based product design, debugging and testing at board and system level.
- The engineer will focus on the design and development of portable/handheld electronics & electrical testing and measuring instruments.
Education : B.E/B.Tech Electronics & communication engineering or M.E/M. Tech Power electronics engineering
Experience : 9 to 11 years
- Mandatory Minimum 7-8 year's experience in the field of custom-built, special purpose electronics and electrical testing and measuring instruments.
Software Skills :
- Mandatory Hands on experience in simulation tools like LTSPICE, TINA and PSPICE
- Desirable Exposure with Altium, Allegro, Mentor graphics and CAM350 anyone is desirable
Skills & Experience :
- Design and develop advanced innovative hardware architectures for testing and measuring equipment's.
- Should have expertise in designing the complete microprocessor or microcontroller-based hardware circuits for portable/handheld high voltage dielectric tester and leakage current tester for overhead and underground
cables health check.
- Hands on experience in designing the circuits for measuring equipment's like ammeter, voltmeter, and phase angle measurements.
- Should have advanced level of expertise in Digital, Analog, and Mixed signal circuit design.
- Should have hands on experience in buck-boost, fly back converter design.
- Expertise in Power supply design, battery management, ADCs, memories, buffers, drivers, amplifiers, Micro controller design and different hardware protocols (UART, I2C, SPI etc.)
- Good Knowledge on Power Electronics Circuits Design (Thyristors, MOSFET, IGBT, Solid State Switches, Op-to Isolator etc.)
- Familiarity with communication protocols at hardware level- BLE, Zigbee, WiFi, GPS, LoRa etc.
- Working knowledge on the shielding techniques related to electrostatic and electro- magnetic, EMI/EMC, and their impact on the circuits.
- Knowledge on the selection and usage of CT for High voltage and High current application will be an added advantage.
Role and Responsibilities :
- Interact with US clients to understand the requirements and develop the technical design specification.
- Generate advanced innovative hardware architectures based on the specification.
- Develop theoretical calculations and simulation-based models and create a technique to validate the design.
- Develop schematics design, perform layout check and BOM creation.
- Assist PCB designers in layout and component placements.
- Develop prototypes and perform testing, troubleshooting and validation at board and system level.
- Work closely with firmware and electrical team to assist them in creating the specifications and requirement.
- Participate in design review meetings.
- Support and resolve field issues. Perform root cause analysis and fixes.
- Should be fluent in both written and oral communication.
