Embedded Hardware Engineer (6-10 yrs)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Design, development, testing of hardware embedded products/ boards with Mixed signal designs / Digital designs (8, 16, 32-bit micro-controller /ARM controller design) and Microprocessor and FPGA based projects.
- Ability to Lead /mentor a team of 2 to 5 Hardware design engineer in the near future and capability to run two full time projects in parallel,
- Board Bring up experience with SW Team, Design for FCC, CE and EMI/EMC compliance, Schematics and PCB Layout tools Experience
WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH TOOL:
OrCAD, Allegro, Altium, PADs, DX-Designer Schematics tools etc., along with relevant PCB Layout viewer tools for review
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To execute a specified HW project independently and the ability to drive Junior Engineers as per hardware specifications and Design definition from Hardware Manager.
2. Responsible for execution and delivery of a project as per the schedule provided by HW Manager as per the schedule, Project plan defined and completing the deliverables as per the required quality by reviewing, updating the deliverables of engineers.
3. Hands on experience, Guidance and mentoring of 2 to 3 hardware design engineers going forward.
4. Supporting HW Manager to come up with costing, schedule, Project plan and estimations.
5. Responsible to come up with detailed HW design, implementation along with documentation from the design definition inputs from the HW Manager.
6. Responsible for the linear, SMPS power supply designs for new products along with supporting calculations.
7. Accountable for either self-reporting or reporting team 's deliverables and activities which include Circuit Design, Schematics Design, Working with PCB design, Mechanical design Engineers to come up with board design, Coordinate with Manufacturing team for Manufacturing, Board prototype boards bring up and debugging testing and working with SW team for completion of Boards testing.
8. Designing and troubleshooting microcontrollers, Microprocessors and embedded mixed-signal systems at the component level.
9. Working proficiently with oscilloscopes, power supplies, frequency generators, soldering irons and other off-the-shelf equipment.
10. Hands on experience in usage and understanding of electronics devices and circuits and selection of components including CPU, Memory, Power source, protection components etc.
11. Design circuit based on Micro-controller, Microprocessor, FPGA based design, High speed Boards with interfaces like RS232, RS485,
I2C, SPI, USB, DDR2, DDR3 and Ethernet
12. Hands on design experience for Digital / Mixed-Signal Design Experience in the below interfaces in Consumer / Industrial / Automotive domains having Different Microcontroller, Microprocessor, FPGA, USB2.0, USB3.0, EMMC, CSI-2, PCIe, POE, DDR4, Battery Module or Devices.
13. Hands on experience in troubleshooting of Analog, digital and mixed signal Circuits, and interfaces.
14. PCB team Interaction experience for layout and Vendor Interaction experience for Module or Devices.
15. Hands on experience of appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware
16. Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system level items.
17. Design analysis and interaction experience and update based on SI, PDN, Thermal, EMI.
18. Ability to work individually and in a team.
19. Experience in hardware design analysis like power calculations, worst case analysis will be preferred.
20. Experience /Knowledge about certification/precertification EMI/EMC compliance testing of products is mandatory. FCC/CE compliance experience preferred
ACADEMICS:
- Diploma/B.E/B Tech in Electronics and Communications
- SPOKEN AND WRITTEN LANGUAGES PREFERRED:
- English, Hindi, Kannada. More the better
