JOB DESCRIPTION
If you are an - Instrumentation Product Engineering leader- professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Pune, India location, you will be a member of a collaborative product development group. You will have the opportunity to lead and coordinate activities with global technical leadership teams who develop embedded and software engineering products for Emerson business units located across the globe. You will be employed for Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP).
AS A ENGINEERING LEADER, YOU WILL:
- Report to the Global E&D Leader while managing stakeholders like local product development team leaders, local EICP management and global business leaders
- Develop strategies towards talent development and aligning the vision of product groups
- Establish synergy and drive collaboration between different business units to deliver increased value to organization
- Identify and implement plans for technical competency development at EICP
- Establish common work processes and tracking mechanisms across business units for projects/ programs performance metrics/dashboards
- Set the goals and mentor local business leaders to build capabilities, benchmark industry best practices and technologies for speeding up product development
- Periodic talent review to develop succession planning and future leaders
- Nurture innovative and quality development culture within organization
- Maintain healthy retention percentage within group
- Develop business continuity plan to ensure seamless operations
WHO YOU ARE:
You relate comfortably with people across levels, functions, cultures, and geography. You chart a path and move forward in complex and ambiguous situations. You work with four product development groups (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Liquid and Gas Analytical, Flow) that includes Embedded, Software and Mechanical new product and sustaining engineering.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech in Electronics/ Mechanical engineering
- 8 to 10 years in Leadership role
- Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Experience leading and executing engineering project teams that developed new products
- Experience in relevant technologies and functions
- Knowledge and use of New Product Development staged gate Agile processes
- Experience working with international teams
- Excellent presentation and persuasion skills
