Engineer - Bench Marking & Data Analysis (8-18 yrs)
Job Role
Support development of facilities modularization knowledge center for upstream and downstream that will perform in-house modularization studies for future projects, advise/assist ongoing modularized projects, and support development of modularization cost and schedule estimates.
KRA's
- Modular project data sourcing, collection, and categorization (weight parameters, dimensions, module types, etc.) and fabrication benchmarking activities
- Analysis of modular project data and conversion into useful information in the form of charts, graphs, norms tables, predictive metrics, cost and schedule tool inputs, etc.
- Support of cost, schedule, and weight estimating tools development
- Support data rationalization and standardization amongst a wide array of data owners
- Development and ongoing support of ModCoE Sharepoint site, Knowledge Center, lessons learned and other customer communication tools/interface
- Testing of ModCoE associated tools and metrics with various project types and using data from completed projects; gather and analyze early customer feedback for improvements
Job requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum of 10 years in Oil and Gas industry
- Able to gather, analyze and compare data via data analytics tools like MS Excel and Access
- Previous experience working with modularized oil and gas facilities (upstream or downstream)
- Ability to interface with cost, schedule, and other data owners to understand needs and communicate approaches to solve problems
- Able to articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Ability to travel internationally
- Able to work well with others in a fast-changing environment
Other requirements
- Position initially located in Houston at EMHC for first 6 months
- Report to the Modularization Center of Excellence
