Your expertise in hardware design and proficiency in PCB layout and fabrication processes will contribute to the creation of high-performance and reliable electric mobility solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Design: Preferred experience in developing controller units for EVs such as BMS, MCU, VCU, Telematics, Instrument Cluster, etc.
- Board Level Design: Select optimal architectures and components for board-level schematic and layout, ensuring robust and cost-optimised designs.
- PCB Design: Create intricate up to 8-layer PCB layouts for both high and low-power applications.
- Power Electronics: Apply hands-on experience in various power electronic topologies, including PFC, Flyback, Half bridge, LLC, and Phase shift.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project management and developers to coordinate testing activities at all stages of product development.
- Functional Safety: Work on Functional Safety Test Plans, conduct testing, and maintain documentation in accordance with ISO 26262 standards.
- Be a hands-on Technologist, i.e., translate system-level specifications into working logic and hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and mechanical designers, to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs.
- Work with the 8/16/32 Micro controllers and other high speed signals USB, CAN, UART, and SPI.
- Communication with Component manufacturers/vendors for part choice design support.
- Select appropriate electronic components based on cost, performance, and reliability considerations.
- Utilise industry-standard PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, cadence or any equivalent PCB tool) to create schematics and layouts that adhere to electrical constraints, thermal management, and manufacturability requirements.
- Circuit design of Digital, Analog Power and mixed signals and verification through simulation tools like LTspice, PSpice etc.
- Implementation of EMI/EMC reduction methods and EX protection.
- PCB design includes Schematic capture, Board design, Gerber release and board bring-up.
- Generate detailed technical documentation, including design files, bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and test procedures.
- Conduct thorough design verification and testing to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance (BIS, IPC, UL, CE, RoHS) with industry standards and specifications through own lab or any other third-party labs.
- Hands-on experience in PCB layout and fabrication processes, considering design rules, stack-up, impedance control, and design for manufacturing (DFM, DFA) considerations. Provide technical support to manufacturing/EMS partners and suppliers during the production phase, resolving any design-related issues.
