Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Engineer (R&D) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be involved in the research and development of innovative hardware solutions, contributing to the design, testing, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies. As a Hardware Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in power electronics, analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and communication protocols to drive the development of next-generation products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Embedded C Programming

(a) Develop and optimize Embedded C code for microcontroller-based systems.

(b) Integrate embedded software with hardware to ensure system functionality.

(c) Manage memory, handle peripherals, and optimize real-time operations.

2. Power Electronics & Circuit Design

(a) Design analog and digital circuits for power electronics applications.

(b) Perform PSPICE simulations and test circuit performance.

(c) Design and validate PCB layouts for efficient and reliable operation.

3. Microcontroller/DSP System Design

(a) Design systems using 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers/DSPs.

(b) Select appropriate microcontroller/DSP platforms based on requirements.

(c) Implement embedded solutions, firmware, and peripheral integration.

4. Communication Protocols

(a) Implement communication protocols like RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, and MODBUS.

(b) Ensure seamless data exchange between hardware components and other systems.

5. Simulation Tools

(a) Use PSpice, LTSpice, and ModelSim for circuit modeling, simulation, and verification.

(b) Optimize designs based on simulation results before hardware implementation.

6. EMI/EMC & Environmental Compliance

(a) Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC standards for electromagnetic compatibility.

(b) Adhere to certifications like JSS 55555, UL, IEC, RoHS, and other industry regulations.

7. PCB Design & Signal Integrity

(a) Design PCBs considering signal integrity, high-speed circuits, and EMI/EMC guidelines.

(b) Minimize signal degradation, crosstalk, and ensure design compliance.

8. Supplier Coordination

(a) Lead discussions with suppliers to ensure component specifications and design requirements are met.

(b) Resolve issues and confirm design requirements with suppliers.

9. Project-Level Reviews

(a) Participate in project reviews to evaluate design progress, technical challenges, and alignment with project goals.

(b) Refine designs and ensure adherence to project timelines.

10. Product Development Life Cycle (MIL Applications)

(a) Manage the complete product development cycle, from requirements to certification.

(b) Handle verification, validation, and testing for MIL-STD and other compliance standards.

Key Requirements

1. Experience

Minimum 3 - 4 years in Defence Domain under OEM

2. Qualifications

B.E/M.E - Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Computer Science

3. Skill Sets & Competencies

(a) Analog & Digital Schematic Design

Proficient in designing both analog and digital circuits, ensuring functionality, performance, and efficiency.

(b) Simulation & Testing

Strong experience with circuit simulation (e.g., PSpice, LTSpice) and hands-on testing to validate hardware designs, ensuring they meet specified requirements.

(c) Communication Protocols Expertise

In-depth knowledge and practical experience with various communication protocols including RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, and MODBUS for seamless hardware integration.

(d) Written, Verbal, and Presentation Skills

Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally. Skilled in presenting ideas and designs effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

(e) Team Collaboration & Self-Motivation

A strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in dynamic, cross-disciplinary teams. Self-motivated and proactive in driving tasks and projects forward

independently.
