Job Description : Engineer/ Senior Engineer Product Engineering

The Client is a Manufacturer of car fuel tanks, automotive parts & nexgen plastic fuel tanks in Pune & a Tier 1 Vendor to Top Automotive Organisations

Experience : 5 to 10 Years

- Supporting for technical/Design activities 

- Interacting with customer to understand the specifications, drawings and SOR etc.

- Preparation of DVP&R, PVP&R as per SOR & Drawing. Sign off the documents with customer & tracking as per plan.

- Preparation of other technical documents & submits on time with customer & internal team.

- Domestic & overseas market tank certification (ARAI TAC certification & E-marking Certification.).

- Child part development : Understand the standards of customer, Technical requirement as per drawing and communicating with supplier, tracking child part development process & ensure 100% pist of parts.

- Fuel tank assembly and child part level approval : Preparation, Collecting, drafting and reviewing all necessary reports for OTS approval, internal PPAP and external PPAP, Internal & external PTR.

- Attending tank production trial & testing completion as per PVP plan.

- Child part level DVP follow-up with supplier & review all reports for OTS approval, Trials & tool correction follow-up.

- Engineering change management (feasibility study, test & certification applicability)

- Document updation on E-doc & PLM system.

- Understanding all the requirements of different customers regarding engineering specification, quality policy and milestones, etc.

- Ensuring regular Eng. related communication with customers, HQ and suppliers for open issue clarification, proposal audit, etc.

- Product Safety Characteristics requirement mapping support and adherence

- AP BOM & Routing work in SAP system.

- Planning and reporting monthly targets, Customers- requirements to HOD.

- Implementation of IATF & ISO system for new project as per customer requirement.

- COP audit activities for new PFT Assembly line.

- Ensure adherence to PPE & Safety Policy.

- Interaction with customer for project related points.

- Other tasks assigned by HOD, e.g. benchmark study, lesson learned drafting, etc.
