Engineering Head - Thermal Design (15-28 yrs)
We are at present having a senior position as Engineering Head for a leading EPC company based in West India location.
- BE in Mechanical Engineering.
Position Summary (Broad overview of responsibility) :
- Engineering Head for Energy Products & Systems Engineering Business Unit.
- Responsible for proposal engineering and estimation work, detailed design and engineering of Power Engineering & Design Service Centre, Enviro Engineering (FGD work), Engineering & Technology, Coal Handling Plant (Material Handling) and Heat Reactor and Steam Generator.
- Leading a team of mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Instrumentation engineers engaged in thermal cycle design, specification of Cooling Tower, Chimney, static and rotary equipments, power system piping, Steel stacks and structures, gas/oil fired burners, control and instrumentation related to HRSG- s/FGD's for gas/Coal fired cycle power plants.
- Design work and Calculations for pressure parts following IBR and ASME codes of standard, preparation of standard operating procedure.
Principal Duties (List Of Specific Responsibilities) :
1. Cost effective thermal design as a part of company's proposal for power plants.
2. To ensure compliance with contractual conditions as well as collaborator's standard/ guidelines.
3. To deliver error free engineering documents as per project schedule including approval of design and drawings by customer/ consultant.
4. Resolution of technical issues pertaining to change/revision of design, claims
5. To train and develop a team of young engineers and to form a motivated team to cater to organizational requirements
Education, Experience, And Special Skills Required : (Minimum formal academic requirements; amount and type of job-related experience; special skills and competencies)
Education : B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical engineering from recognized university, with min. 60% overall marks.
Experience : 16 to 20 years experience in design and engineering of FGD, Cooling Tower, Chimney, Coal Handing, HRSG, Pressure parts under IBR codes, power cycle piping etc.
Special skills : Experience with various software related to engineering, structural strength and 3-D model.
