Engineering Manager - FMCG/Manufacturing - IIM/IIT/NIT (10-15 yrs)
Core Purpose of Job:
Manage all Engineering Resources and Activities to ensure that machinery and services inside the factories are working at peak levels of utilisation. Create a high performing Engineering team to support implementation of plans to achieve high levels of efficient use, cost reduction, resource consumption, safety and machine effectiveness.
KRA
- Take Ownership of entire engineering function of organisation in India covering multiple sites and locations.
- Oversee all engineering projects across India
- Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety management at all times
- Control Maintenance budgets for spares and repairs to achieve optimum levels as per industry best practice.
- Installation, commissioning & maintenance of new & existing equipment to achieve world class levels of performance.
- Provide accurate and timely cost estimates for new project proposals.
- Organisation of spare parts inventory & supply lines to ensure minimum downtime & lowest cost inventory holdings.
- Compile engineering budgets for planning purposes.
- Supervise, train and develop the maintenance teams to ensure levels of excellence are achieved and maintained in plant and machinery management.
- Ensure ETP is working within local PCB norms and company's Global norms
- Maintain and monitor day to day energy consumption in all locations.
Must have qualifications & Skill Sets :
- BE / B Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from IITs or NITs.
- Min 10 years experience in engineering function in a manufacturing organisation.
- An MBA in Operations from Premier B Schools like IIMs or top 25 B Schools is preferred.
- Electrical LV/HV knowledge.
- RO/ETP system knowledge
- Planned Maintenance systems management experience.
- H&S qualification advantageous.
