Equipment Head - Container Shipping Business (6-10 yrs)
- Effective management of empty containers and assist in all aspects of equipment management related activities for assigned region.
- Driving the equipment costs and achieving cost leadership as well as driving the Operations Cost Recovery (OCR) initiatives
- Ensure that equipment is made available as per the sales forecast to ensure nil lost bookings for assigned region.
- Coordinating with the LOC for all the equipment related matters
- Find cost effective ways of positioning/evacuating equipment to reduce positioning costs
- Daily inventory management and coordination with storage / repair yards, location operations teams to ensure that requirements of customers are met
- Drive triangulation along with commercial teams across locations to achieve best possible results both on reuse and alternate dropoff/ pickups
- Forerunner in driving reduction in equipment imbalance
- Establishing good relations with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to Rail operators, transporters, yard operators, Country and Centre teams, while actively contributing and learning from best practices
- Engagement with Maersk GSC teams for further simplifying processes including RKEM
- Driving effective Vendor management and audits

- Cost Leadership - Contribution to Joint OPS saving plans
- Nil Lost Bookings due to equipment shortage
- Achieving triangulation and imbalance targets set for region
- Reduction in empty dwell time and longstandings
