Essel Propack - Deputy Manager/Manager - Quality Assurance (8-10 yrs)
Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary) :
The role holder is responsible for achieving the organizational objective in quality excellence at the unit level. The key duties include implementing quality systems, process controls and improvement activities at the unit. Ensuring adherence to the regulatory & compliance related requirements. Additionally the incumbent will be responsible for meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Key Result Areas :
- Set systems and processes to maintain product quality at the Unit
- Introduce and establish process control methods in manufacturing
- Customer Complaint resolution within the defined timeframe and reduce number of Customer Complaints
- Ensure timely completion of regulatory and compliance related activities
- Track and evaluate supplier performance to achieve the overall quality goals
- Enhance Customer Satisfaction
- Coordinate and review Quality / Process Improvement projects
Key Tasks / Responsibilities :
Strategic
1. Ensure achievement of Quality objectives defined for the unit
2. Plan and conduct regular system/ process audits in the unit
3. Identify critical control parameters with the help of production & process engineers
4. Identify stated and implied needs of customers in relation to the product quality and product safety
Operational
Quality Management
- Have a good understanding of all the process and procedures of the quality system
- Support the Quality Head to develop the Quality objectives and guidelines for the unit
- Ensure regular communication in the unit for awareness of quality issues across all departments.
- Responsible for conducting timely internal audits at the unit and ensure conformity in systems and processes
- Ensure maintenance of quality assurance documents at the unit especially from Audit perspective
- Liaise with allied departments from time to time for matters related to operational and business requirements
- Ensure 100% compliance to all statutory requirements and liaise with regulatory authorities
Quality Assurance
- Establish quality control measures at the identified critical control parameters
- Ensure all quality related issues are resolved on time
- Responsible for inspection and quality check of inbound and outbound material - incase of any deviations (both lami and plastic tubes), take corrective actions accordingly
- Operate and maintain the Unit Testing Labs
Vendor Management
- Assess supplier product quality on regular basis and guide them to achieve consistency in quality
- Declare results of supplier audits and drive corrective actions in case of any deviation observed
- Interact with supplier regularly and ensure implementation of the planned corrective actions.
Customer Management
- Handle quality concerns at the customer end and ensure their resolution with the defined timeframe
- Ensure the production of Lami/ Plastic tubes is as per the specification set by the Customers, in case of any deviations, must escalate the same to Customers and take measures to fill in
