Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)

The role holder is responsible for managing the day to day operations of Injection Moulding machines, their maintenance, hygenie of Operations etc. Ensuring adherence to daily, weekly, monthly delivery schedules and timely dispatch of materials to the client forms an integral part of the role.

Key Result Areas

- Meet the operational budgets of cost, Quality and Safety.

- Meet the Unit targets of Efficiency, Scrap, Service levels, Outsourcing cost.

- Meet the Unit Profit and Loss targets.

- Dispatch planning and monitoring

- MIS and Reporting; necessary ERP updates

- Improve the Techincal and Managerial skill of team members

- Responsible for P&L for Injection Moulding function of an independent Unit

Key Tasks / Responsibilities :

Operations:
 
1. Ensure Production of caps to meet the delivery schedules of internal as well as external customers.

2. Ensure that maintenance activities are carried out for all the machines and Moulds to get optimum output.

3. Responsible for timely coordination with the Purchase department to ensure adequate stocking of raw materials, engineering spares etc,

4. Responsible for budgetary control on inventory and spares

5. Maintenance of proper storage facilities to ensure meeting of internal process standards

6. Ensure that the shopfloor meets the GMP and HMP requirements of the company.

7. Maintain cleanliness, safety and security at the Shopfloor.

8. Minimize obsolesce, surplus and scrap through proper codification, preservation and handling

9. Ensure maintenance of optimum levels of inventory.

10. Implement control measures to ensure minimum volume and value wastage

11. Responsible for disposal of scrap and return the rejected material to suppliers

12. Maintain accurate and updated data on the ERP systems

13. Meet the Quality objectives of the company and ensuring Zero defect products are supplied to customers.

14. Receive and review dispatch plan and analyze the plan on daily basis

15. Preparation of daily work schedules based on the dispatch plan received

16. Provide inputs to Production and Planning to execute the planned delivery scheduled on time

17. Ensure daily tracking and monitoring of dispatch schedule for each client

18. Interact with external vendors for proper upkeep and maintenance of Machines and Moulds.

Business :

1. Responsible for the Profit and Loss of the Unit and suggest measures to improve the profitability of the Unit.

2. Interact with potential customers for validation and sale of caps, thereby increasing the revenue of the Unit.

3. Ensure that cost control measures are implemented effectively and the Unit operates at optimum cost and best Utlization.

Developmental :

19. Undertake projects to improve / increase efficiencies

20. Motivate the team for achieving department's objectives

21. Effectively manage and supervise work done by outsourced staff (labor)

22. Carry out on-the-job trainings to subordinates
