Estimation & Proposal Engineer (5-8 yrs)
Prepare client quotations based on cost estimate of materials, conduct specification reviews, technical clarifications and prepare an accurate BOQ/MTO for all projects and works.
6. Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate and concise clarifications and assumptions from clients and contractors (through the Sales department).
- Prepare take-offs from isometrics and other documentation (including project specifications) to prepare cost of materials and fabrication labor estimates as required.
- Seek customer technical clarifications through the Sales department to prepare timely and accurate proposals and provide technical clarifications on all queries.
- Follow up with Purchasing to ensure accurate current pricing and availability of products for delivery, whilst optimizing inventory rotation.
- Works closely Operations teams on the proper handover of (large) projects at the order stage.
- Maintain quote and estimate registers including detailed records of each project estimated and jobs in progress.
- Utilize Quote Register to assist the Sales department in efficient follow-up on opportunities and analyze monthly quotes with the management and Sales teams.
- Support Procurement with analysis of supplier quotes.
- Comply with all QHSE and ISO requirements.
- Comply with all Company policies and work within the established guidelines.
- Other duties may be included in line with business needs.
