Job Position: Senior Manager/Assistant Vice President - Import/ Export Logistics & Warehouse Operations

Reports to: Managing Director/ Executive Director

Job Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai

Travel: Travel involved

Position Summary: The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of products from across the globe to the consumers in India. The role holder has to ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at the lowest possible cost. The role holder will be involved in general logistics, transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the overall flow of goods across locations, through a team of logistics professionals spread across geographies.

Key Responsibilities/Accountability & Job Functions:

- Provide leadership and direction to logistics and warehouse operations.

- Manage movement of products across the globe including customs clearance and air freight

- Analyse available metrics, reports and other information to identify trends and develop action plans to manage challenges.

- First point of contact on Logistics and Operations front

- Implement strategies and plans while adjusting processes to meet overall business objectives as directed by senior management

- Emphasizes quality of operations at logistics hence delivering quality services to customers

- Provide feedback to management regarding necessary changes and updates; including policies, upgrades, and logistics issues

- Understand, work with and possibly help to develop the e-commerce platform

- Daily coaching/ training of team members with regards to quality of service, productivity and performance

Required Candidate Experience:

- Minimum relevant experience of 8 years

- Domain experience in e-commerce supplychain/ logistics essential - marketplace SCM knowledge an added plus

- Experience of managing global logistics mandatory

- Very strong leadership skills with an ability to garner support from all internal departments and brands/vendors

- Proven problem-solving skills and an ability to optimize systems and processes in complex environment

- Strong desire for a start-up career trajectory

Qualifications :

- College/ University Degree a must

- MBA or Post Graduate Degree would be a plus
