Executive/Assistant Manager - Purchase (3-12 yrs)
Job Description :
- We, sarthee Consultancy, are having Openings in Purchase department with our client in Consumer Durable industry.
- Our client has leading name in manufacturing of different types of soft & hard Bags & Luggage .
Job Requirements :
- For Executive Purchase Position - Any graduate with min. 3 years of experience in purchase department from Consumer durable / Manufacturing Industry.
- For Assistant Manager Purchase position - B. E / B. Tech. Mechanical / Production Engineering with min. 7 years of experience
- The role would be responsible for development and purchase of Brought Out Parts, RM, NPP (Non Production Purchase).
key responsibilities :
- Responsible for procurement of Raw Materials and components from domestic suppliers/Import suppliers.
- Exposure to procurement of plastic items and CRCA steel items.
- Manage procurement of non-production, consumables and capital items etc.
- Vendor development and negotiation.
- Knowledge of costing.
- Inventory management.
- Handling sourcing through identification of cost effective vendors/suppliers for procurement with an aim of reducing cost while improving quality & reliability.
- Coordinating with other departments for material requirement planning, material procurement & purchase planning, ensuring continuous supply.
- Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterion such as quality systems, rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery etc.
- Developing quality culture at vendors end through auditing and guidance.
- Continuous cost reduction in material procurement
- System improvement and procurement process streamlining
Skills & Attributes :
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong SAP MM and Microsoft office knowledge
- Knowledge about product costing is must
- Good interpersonal/communication skills
- Deep Understanding of GST and taxation related to purchase
- Exposure of working in a similar role in Consumer Durable/Manufacturing Industries is preferable
