Major Areas responsibilities

The HSESr. Officer is responsible for all Health, Safety and Environment Activities at Site.To ensure hazardous process is going on as per written SOPs. and Parameters.

Work Permit System is followed on 100% basis. To ensure no short cut is used in Process / change and modification and Project work at Site. No person or persons doing illegal work at site and following Site HSE Rules.

Process Chemistry and MSDS of applicable products (RM/FG/Packing etc)

Pollution Control Acts & Rules

Labour Laws

Safety audit

Other applicable legal acts/ rules

HAZOP Study

Risk Assessment(HIRA)

SOP preparation

Accident/ Incident Control Techniques

Industrial Hygiene

Occupational Health Hazards

Prepare / review HSE Policy in each management periodic review meeting.

Prepare housekeeping (5S) programme and implement it.

Constitute 5S team in consultation with HODs.

Conduct 5S audit ( cross functional) by using prescribed format.

Prepare legal monitoring file for monitoring applicable rules and regulation to site.

Ensure safety & health standards of all the employees of Factory.

To follow & implement the best safety system and practices.

To communicate with other sister concerns for HSE status and implement positives at his site.

Arrange departmental safety meetings and follow up the recommendations or suggestions discussed during the meeting.

To carry out plant safety inspections and housekeeping rounds in order to observe unsafe acts and conditions.

Active participation in accident and incident investigation.

Prepare & maintain documents as well as records as per cGMP.

Check for quality and availability of personal protective equipments and also ensure its usage.

To monitor the waste disposal activity.

Monitor the housekeeping activities.

To maintain first aid & Occupational Health Center facility.

To prepare HIRA / Safety Study programme.

To conduct internally / externally appropriate safety study as per risk associated with facility / process.

To prepare compliance status of safety study done and circulate to concerned department with target date in consultation with HODs.

To conduct safety study of a new project / plant before start up.

To conduct safety study of a facility once in five years ( if no change in process).

To conduct appropriate safety study of a facility with the help of concerned HOD before and change / modification by using MOC format.

To identify risk / hazards of the facilities associated with each occupation.

To identify the major risk and mitigate it in consulation with concerned HOD and site head.

To get conducted by competent person the thickness test of process stacks, corrosive storage and pressure vessels and plant with the help of maintenance manager and concerned HOD and obtain the report in prescribed format.

To get conducted external safety audit of the site once in two years and obtain the report and get complied all recommendations with the help of concerned HODs.
