Executive - Manufacturing Technology (5-7 yrs)
Position : Executive - Manufacturing Technology
Location : Vakola, Mumbai
Client : Leading MNC Paints Manufacturing company
Qualification : BTech in Chemical Engineering (Desired candidate from UDCT but not mandate)
Experience : 5 to 7 years
Note : Experience in automated process plant, Industry - Steel/Chemical/petrochemical/Paper.
Job purpose :
- Provide technical support to plants in process areas to facilitate solving of process issues
- Liaison with plants, R&T, vendors and process consultants to find new avenues of improvements in reduction of RM costing, cycle time, variance etc.
- Coordinate with Plants for collation of data and other inputs to aid in analysis for design of appropriate solutions
- Assist the Sr. Managers in executing the engineering projects including Greenfield/Brownfield projects within the planned timelines
- Comes up with solutions directly also and brings in new innovations in the factories.

Project Excellence :
- Review the existing processes of paint and resin manufacturing in plants - improvements done in both automated and flexible plants and identify bottlenecks jointly with plants existing processes and identify solutions.
- Contact international and Indian process consultants, think and bring new solutions to existing issues in plants.
- Identify new /alternate technologies for paint processing which will optimize RM cost, reduce cycle times, improve production efficiencies
- Use of statistical tools, Minitab etc. for analysis
- Use automation in terms of data analytics for fast analysis of issues
- Conversant with DCS, MES as tools for process improvements.
- Initiate projects basis above analysis and complete them in collaboration with statutory requirements as plants and R&T
- Work with Materials function, JVC and support them for fast implementation of alternate raw materials by collaboration with plants.

- New projects identified for manufacturing improvements done in existing processes
- Bring new Adherence to time schedule for execution of projects
- Compliance with engineering standards well as APL quality and EHS system requirements.
- Accuracy and completeness of documentation related to purchase transactions.
- Timeliness in preparation of reports.
- Ensuring RFT and eliminating rework in execution.

- Assist in preparation, technical review and finalization of engineering standards
- Assist in implementation of engineering standards across plants Departmental Administration
- Assist in execution of assigned capital expenditure projects ensuring adherence to timelines and no budget overruns.
- Assist in providing inputs for preparation of overhead budget
- Collect the required data for floating enquiries to vendors
- Prepare departmental reports.
Previous Experience Essential :
- Minimum 5/6 years of experience in an automated process industry Desired
- Experience in paint/steel/chemical/petrochemical or paper industry
