Executive - MEP - Construction Project (4-8 yrs)
- The MEP Executive will oversee all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems within our construction projects. This includes managing MEP design, installation, coordination, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications. The MEP Executive will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of MEP systems.
Key Responsibilities :
MEP Planning and Design :
- Develop MEP plans, specifications, and budgets for construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure MEP designs are compliant with project requirements.
- Review and approve MEP design documents and shop drawings.
Project Management :
- Manage all MEP-related aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure MEP activities are integrated into the overall project schedule.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and quality of MEP installations.
Quality Assurance :
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for MEP installations.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design, codes, and standards.
- Resolve any MEP-related issues or discrepancies during construction.
Cost Control :
- Manage MEP budgets and control project costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
Resource Management :
- Supervise and lead MEP teams, including subcontractors and technicians.
- Ensure that the necessary manpower and equipment are available for MEP work.
- Provide guidance and training to MEP staff.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to MEP systems.
- Ensure that all MEP installations meet safety and environmental standards.
Client Communication :
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- years of experience in MEP project management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and standards.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale construction projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Professional engineering licensure (PE) is a plus.
