The office is involved in activities such as Supplier Identification, Evaluation, Commercial Negotiations, Product development, Product Quality Compliance, Customer Compliant Resolution, Factory Audits and Supplier Performance Evaluation.

Qualify Function Overview:

Quality function in the Sourcing Organization plays a pivotal role ensuring continuity of the business.

The prime role of the function is to define the quality requirements for the product(s) and the factory, based on the EU norms and the company Responsible Purchasing Policy, respectively. It requires working & collaborating in close partnership with the suppliers.

It ensures that the product quality norms are met through Quality Control procedures (such as Final Pre-dispatch inspections) and assures that the process is capable enough to provide desired quality on a continuous basis. It also takes care of the Customer Complaint Resolution and Supplier Quality Performance standards.

ROLE PURPOSE

Review & Finalization of Quality Assurance Plan (in-line with product specification)

Establish Quality Standards and Evaluation System (PMS) for vendors / suppliers

Perform Factory Audit (vendor manufacturing unit) & support suppliers for corrective action

Customer Complaint Resolution (Root Cause Analysis & CAPA)

Product Inspection as per QAP

Key Deliverables:

1. Review & Finalization of Quality Assurance Plan (in-line with product specification)

2. Maintain database for quality standard requirements.

3. Identify the certification requirements of various products in Europe; ensure that the suppliers have the required certifications.

4. Establish quality norms and performance evaluation systems for vendors.

5. Perform quality / product inspections in-line with QAP.

6. Prepare Inspection Release Notes (after inspection / quality checks).

7. Perform Factory Audit (vendor manufacturing unit) on EHS compliance, quality and delivery parameters.& support suppliers for corrective actions.

8. Customer Complaint Resolution (Root Cause Analysis & CAPA)

9. Coordinate and collaborate with Sourcing team, India & China to establish a common Quality Management Systems within Sourcing Offices
