6. Job Location : Lagos & Abeokuta
Job Objectives :
- Factory Manager's - To lead, organize and prioritize production, maintenance operations by leading an operational resources team and effectively co-operating with various peer groups within the company.
- To lead project planning, erection and commissioning in direct supervision of Managing Director.
- A factory manager is responsible to accomplish safety, quality and efficiency target to ensure the on-time delivery of produced products in order to satisfy the clients and to provide safe and productive working climate to operating team.
- The role need to manage 02 plants based at Lagos & Abeokuta. He will be travelling between both sites on regular basis. (03 days in Lagos & 03 days in Abeokuta.)
Job Requirements :
1. BE / B.Tech Mechanical with minimum 10 Years of experience in Chemical (Industrial or Bulk Chemicals).
2. Must have managed team of approx. 50-100 people.
3. Well experience in liasoning with government bodies.
4. Well versed with ISO/HACCP and other quality and safety standards.
5. As per the need of the business the job is transferrable and posting can be made anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa.
Job Responsibilities :
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality or quantity.
Strategic Responsibility :
- To develop overall operations strategy/policy, processes and procedure.
- To ensure implementation of all the relevant applicable SOP's.
- To set the direction of the plant operation, forecast monthly production plan, weekly target and prepare action plans for self and individual team members.
- The Factory Manager appointed will be responsible for planning, execution and co-coordination at various levels i.e. Production Planning, Maintenance Planning, Inventory Planning (Product & Packaging), Workforce Planning, Shift Planning etc.
- To have periodic meeting with technical and operation team to boost overall performance of the function and support management for better performance efficiency.
Day to Day Management :
- To lead the day to day operations of factory and other operational functions to support factory operations like warehouse, maintenance etc. providing guidance, encouraging team work and facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- To ensure process transactions are executed as per standard procedures and communication system.
- To communicate with operational team and resolve any issue if arise to ensure smooth operational procedure and to meet operational efficiency.
- To liaison and compliance with various regulatory and statutory authorities as applicable.
Operational Targets :
- To ensure achievement against Operational Plan, Production Efficiency, Reduction in Breakdown Cost, Preventive Maintenance Schedule Accomplishment, Direct Labor cost and Overall Budget monitoring and reporting.
- To manage time lines and work priorities and allocate resource to meet the assigned shop floor goals.
- Ensuring the effectual adopting of new programs and policies, providing training in order to meet improved requirement ordered by clients.
- Regular process audit inspection to ensure Housekeeping, safety of plants, personnel and environment through the proper implementation of EHS. Supervising quality standards work on implementation of GMP, HACCP & ISO.
Key Projects :
- To assess the various information tools, identify cost optimization opportunities and pinpoint bottleneck areas to further increase plant productivity, rejection control and resources utilitization.
- Identify new projects and opportunities for improvement and take responsibility for its successful execution after approval from General Manager and Managing Director .
Budget :
- To prepare and recommend monthly budget and monitor financial performance verses the budget to ensure business alignment.
People Management :
- Manages to effective communication by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, providing of formal and informal feedback on performance and training needs - in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
Reporting :
- To prepare all applicable reports in time for accuracy and in order to ensure that they match the functional requirements, policies and standards.
Safety Health & Environment :
- Ensure compliance to all relevant on-floor/off-floor safety, health and environmental procedures across the department in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
Related Assignment :
- To perform other related duties or assignment as and when assigned.
