Factory Manager - Detergents Manufacturing Unit (5-10 yrs)

West Bengal Job Code: 20404

The incumbent will play a significant role in :

- Leading the factory to meet its production plan compliance in the most committed manner

- Leading the team in TPM activities and sustain innovation efforts.

- Providing active direction in securing & continually improving safety & environment of the factory

- Ensuring full compliance with the Law of the Land.

- Synchronizing the Unit with safety, quality and productivity requirements.

- Maintain harmonious industrial relations on site

The various deliverables are :

- Secure safety & environment on site and ensure compliance with all statutory & standards

- Benchmark & facilitate measures for achieving best levels of quality, productivity & operational effectiveness

- Develop & facilitate timely implementation of cost engineering & cost effectiveness measures.

- Upgrade capability of factory to handle higher manufacturing complexities in a flexible manner.

- Build a culture of - participative growth- for all employees on site, and initiate steps to develop a highly committed & involved workforce

- Develop the optimal asset, manpower and product technology configuration for the future

Key Measures :

- Production, and dispatch compliance.

- Yield efficiency.

- Cost Effective Programs

- Operating efficiencies

- TPM implementation, with minimal breakdowns.

- Employee involvement and ownership.

Requirements :


- The person should be fully operational in manufacturing strategy development, product process expertise, manufacturing performance management and quality assurance.


- The person should have working knowledge of responsible care. 


- The job also demands a high level of man management skills.


- Past experience in handling sensitive industrial relations scenarios would be an added advantage.
