Factory Manager/Factory Head - Conglomerate (10-20 yrs)
We have opportunity with a leading conglomerate for food processing business vertical.
Candidate should have experience as Factory Head / Manager, Plant Head / Manager for minimum 3-5 years into solvent extraction plant. He should be interested for relocation.
Reporting - COO
Salary - You will receive salary in India NRE account on Quarterly basis + salary in local currency + Company Maintained Accommodation + Company Maintained Car + Kids schooling in Indian school from company + Once in a year economy class return ticket to home country for self and family + Medical Insurance.
Job Role :
Factory Manager is responsible for all aspects of the plant operation, including production, maintenance, Food safety, EHS, security, shipping and receiving across operation. Must preliminarily focus on effective and efficient utilisation of assets, ensure quality control and quality assurance practices are in place. Must be Instrumental in communicating the vision, mission, and strategic goals of the company to employees and associates.
Key responsibilities:
1. Accountable for all plant operations of crushing & refining, maintenance, and production goals by overseeing day-to-day operations closely, assigning monthly performance goals and assuring their completion.
2. Daily requirements include analysing trends to predict production outcomes, inventory of chemicals, recruitment, and retention of staff, maintaining close interaction with the Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Lab Manager and departmental heads.
3. Accountable for creating a quality conscious work culture in every process step across operation, including procurement, production, and distribution to ensure product safety, product consistency, and building customer trust. Thus, maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere.
4. Responsible for cost control and efficiency initiatives relating to the plant operations. Develop, implement, and maintain Standard vs actual cost analysis and carry out RCA for deviation and work for its elimination.
5. Ultimately responsible for performance management of all employees. It includes performance reviews, goal setting, production goals, disciplinary action, career development and succession planning.
6. Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, replacing or adjusting plant facilities and equipment when necessary & Present capital request justifications to the COO.
7. Establishes policies and procedures required to ensure Effective implementation of 5S, TPM and its periodic review. Demonstrating proactive and preventive maintenance work culture, Sets improvement objectives and the associated timetables for achieving each objective and their periodic review.
8. Accountable for establishing the safety culture across operation & keeping employees safe and healthy by conducting and reviewing periodic safety audits, investigating accidents, developing safety programs, imparting training to employees on safety procedures & enforcing strict safety regulations & safety standards.
9. Effectively communicate with management, team, and other departments to keep them informed and resolve issues timely.
10. Focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of the job.
11. Maintain a team environment with all other plant departments.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelors or master's degree in B. Tech Oil/chemical / Mechanical engineering with Business Administration or any relevant professional body will be an added advantage.
- Excellent organizational & communication skills, ability to multi-task and must be able to build, maintain and contribute to a team environment, Individual desires to promote the collective interests of the team more than self-interest.
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized, Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.
- Proven ability to identify, understand and mitigate risk before making critical decisions.
- Good people management skills, willing to resolve problems in a respectful manner.
- Required competencies to define, develop and proactively track KPIs/Objectives
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn and use new software applications.
- Experience and knowledge of provincial health and safety standards and compliance, Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
