Factory Manager - Jewellery/Metal (5-10 yrs)
About the role :
- We are seeking an experienced Jewellery Factory Manager to oversee all aspects of our Jewellery manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the production process, ensuring product quality, optimizing workflow, and supervising the production team. This role requires a deep understanding of Jewellery manufacturing processes, strong leadership skills, and the ability to meet production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Production Management :
- Plan, organize, and oversee the production process to meet production targets.
- Ensure that production processes are efficient and cost-effective.
Quality Control :
- Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure the highest standard of Jewellery production.
- Develop and enforce quality control procedures.
Team Leadership :
- Recruit, train, and manage the production team, including Jewellers, setters, polishers, and other personnel.
- Motivate and mentor team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Inventory Management :
- Manage raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels.
Equipment Maintenance :
- Oversee maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth production processes.
Safety and Compliance :
- Ensure that all safety regulations and compliance standards are met.
- Promote a culture of safety within the factory.
Cost Control :
- Manage production costs and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
Communication :
- Collaborate with other departments such as design, sales, and supply chain to ensure seamless operations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on production status and challenges.
Qualifications and Skills :
- In-depth knowledge of Jewellery production processes, materials, and quality control.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management and cost control.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Jewellery design, production management, or a related field (preferred).
