Factory/Plant Head - Automobile Industry (12-25 yrs)
Plant Head/Factory Head - Experience in overall management of Business unit as independent profit center spanning Operations, supply chain, logistics, quality and customer interactions
- Develop and ensure execution of overall operational processes of cycle business as the separate profit center.
- Strategize and execute overall business planning (goal setting) and projects.
- Overall financial health management including budget preparation (revenue and Capex), cash flows and their achievements, operation cost management, value addition/value engineering, energy conservation.
- Evaluate market needs for new products along with Sales and Marketing and decision on new product launching.
- Customer connectivity to proactively understand product related perceptions and improvement in an overall brand image.
- Adherence to company policies, legal and statutory compliance, people development, training, and retention
Operations :
- Monitoring operations of pressure die casting, Machine shop, Paint shop, Assembly shop & Dispatch Dept.
- Monitoring Operating cost & EBDITA (Manpower cost, Energy cost, Maintenance cost, consumable cost, SGA etc.)
- Monitoring customer complaints, internal rejections etc
- Identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking steps to rectify the equipment's through an application of troubleshooting tools
- Technologically upgrading of the obsolete equipment's.
- Responsible for Plant profits & loss.
- Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/measures and modifications to achieve the substantial reduction in O&M expenditures and work within the budget.
- OEE improvement by modifying the cell layouts & eliminating the losses.
Project Management :
- Evaluation of project cost
- Different types of civil work done like Machine foundation(Die casting machines, shot blasting m/cs, Drop forge hammers & spms foundations) Factory internal roads, trench work etc. within scheduled time plan
- Supervising installation and commissioning of pressure die casting machines, furnaces, compressors, DG Sets CNC Machines, VMC machines & various SPMs etc, followed by trial runs.
- Identifying project bottlenecks and undertaking corrective measures.
- Ensuring effective site management and discipline to ensure safe & timely execution of the projects.
- Installing and commissioning of equipment- s, followed by plant trial runs meeting targeted performance/ quality & quantity parameters.
Quality Systems :
- Evaluating the performance through P, Q, C, D, S & M.
- Initiating & monitoring action on recommendations of management reviews to achieve desired objectives.
- Maintaining responsibility member of CPAC team as well as for kaizen & poka yoka implementation on customer complaint to avoid further failure.
- Looking for continual improvement in day-to-day activity, through - KAIZEN- and other mistake-proofing tools (Poka Yoka).
- Implementation 5- S & TPM activity
Process Improvement :
- Streamlining efforts for process enhancement & improving operational methods.
- Conducting research of existing process & accordingly carry out improvement on the existing process.
- Formulating charts for the easy development of equipment.
- Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
- Modifying, improving maintenance activities for better utilization of machines & spares cost effectiveness.
Man Management :
- Monitoring the performance of team members and training them to ensure efficiency and meet of individual & group targets.
- Streamlining efforts for the attainment of short and long-term goals of the company taking into care the mission and vision.
- Communicating with members of management, colleagues, consultants, vendors, contractors, at all levels and to work in the team to achieve the goals.
- Identifying & arrange a training for maintenance team for improving their skill.
- Liaisioning with Electricity Board etc.
